Fast Time Acoustic Processing System
FTAPS is designed specifically as a Secondary System and is based on a system architecture developed by SONARTECH ATLAS as a foundation for building high speed replay systems.
This architecture provides for rapid mission reconstruction from mission data, recorded on multiple operational platforms, using modern generic computing hardware. Mission data processing occurs through a software-only solution, eliminating the need for special purpose signal processing hardware.
Operator interaction with the mission data is achieved via multiple independent analysis clients, maximising operator workflow efficiency: multiple operators may analyse mission data simultaneously and independently.
FTAPS provides a tactical picture derived from the tactical data contained wihtin the mission, such as the MIL-STD-1553 tactical stream. This facility provides the ability to display the tactical situation at any time within the mission, and to advance and regress the tactical situation sequentially though the mission at high speed.
FTAPS’ flexible data input system allows the analyst to jump to a section of the mission data highlighted by the crew, either by an Event Marker embedded in the data or from information gathered from a hand written log and view only the segment of interest. Detailed analysis capability provided will enable the analyst to confirm or deny the existence of the target of interest.
